Dr. Victor Watson        

Victor Watson was chairman, 1977 to 1993, of John Waddington plc, the printing, packaging, toys and games manufacturer behind Monopoly, which was introduced to the UK by his grandfather. One of Yorkshire's most renowned business figures, he is currently president of PrintYorkshire and a director of Topps Tiles plc. He has served formerly as both president and chairman of the Leeds Chamber of Commerce, president of the Institute of Packaging (1984-2004), and is also a former Chairman of Yorkshire Television, a past President of Leeds & Holbeck Building Society, and a former director of Stylo plc among many other directorships. He is a trustee of Martin House Children's Hospice and a Governor of Gateways School, Harewood. Dr Watson was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Laws (LLD) by the University of Leeds in 1994.
