Growing Your Money Making Online Business – 4 Crucial Things For List Building!

January 26th, 2010

Money making online businesses seem to be booming. Every day there are more people entering this market.

Unemployment is up and I would guess that many of the unemployed are trying to offset their lost job by money making online. For the money making online marketer this is both an opportunity and a challenge. It is an opportunity because every day there are more potential customers who are looking to buy your money making online marketing products. It is a challenge because every day the competition gets tougher.

To meet the challenge you must develop your niche and find potential customers interested in your niche that you can entice to follow your web site or blog. You need to develop a list of these customers so you can market your products to them. In order to develop your list, you must have an “opt-in” form on your web site or blog for readers who like your web site or blog content enough to want more information and will sign in for it. Your form must require your reader’s name and email address so you can send them your marketing information later.

This sounds simple enough, but there are four crucial things you need to do in order to build your list.

1. Put up a good “opt-in” web form on your site or blog either right after your content or along side of it. Use an auto responder such as AWeber for your form to gather each signer’s name and email address, and later send them your eventual marketing emails. AWeber’s and other auto responders’ forms will permit you to edit them so that your enticement to sign in fits your marketing program.

2. Make your opt-in page impressive. Whether you are using a squeeze page, your web site’s home page or your blog, this page need to knock your reader’s socks off. It should have good graphics, but not over the top graphics. It should be clean without a lot of advertising or other extraneous stuff that will get your reader off track. Remember, your goal is for your reader to opt-in, nothing else. Make it classy.

Your web site’s articles, or your blog’s posts, in other words content, must be well written, without grammatical, spelling or punctuation errors. Make your content compelling with strong, interesting and authoritative articles.

If you are using a web site, it must be easy to use and navigate. If not, you will lose your readers.

3. Provide good and useful products and back them up with good service. You want to provide as much value for your customer’s money as you can. If your customer’s feel they have received extra value, they will return for more products and they will spread the word to their friends and acquaintances. It’s the best kind of promotion for your business that you can have.

4. Keep a clean and private list. Never lose sight of the fact that your customers have relied on you not to spam them nor to give away their email addresses so that someone else can spam them. Remember that a good reputation is gold. It will bring in more traffic and subscribers and strengthen the loyalty of your customers.

Follow these crucial steps and you will build a long list of loyal subscribers and along with it a successful Money Making Online business.

Make Money Online – Ways to Market Your Information Product

January 5th, 2010

Marketing your information product is no different from any other type of business. No matter how good your product is, your marketing efforts can determine whether or not you succeed. The good news is, there’s not only one way to market your information product. There are tons of ways to do it but is up to you to choose which method that you can work with effectively.

Before you decide on a method, there are some basic tools you will need. It goes without saying that you will need a direct respond website in order to sell your information. Giving your product its own domain and having a single landing page can help increase your conversion rates.

If a visitor to your site is distracted by links to other information, she may navigate away and not come back to your sales page. However, if your visitor only sees your landing page, it will be easier to convert them into a sale. Keep your landing page neat, clean, and easy to read. Do not use distracting colors or hard to read fonts. If you are not the best copywriter, hire one to do the writing for you.

Create a free companion product that goes along with your paid product in order to build up your mailing list. For instance, if you are selling an e-book on how to pay off credit card debt, create a free e-course and include a sign up sheet on your landing page. If your visitors are somewhat reluctant to buy the e-book the fist time they come to your site, they may sign up for the free tips, and you can continue to market your e-book to them through the e-course.

Traditionally, in the offline world, whenever a company or business needs to get the word out about their product launch, they use a press release to distribute to the media. You can do the same thing for your information product by going to a press release site, where you can submit free press releases that online media outlets will be able to view and publish.

You can market your product online via pay per click programs, such as Google AdWords as well as buying ad space on another website or ezine. Remember to keep your target market in mind. What keywords are they most likely to use when searching for your product? If they were surfing the web, which sites would they most likely visit and which ezines do they most likely subscribe to?

Another popular way to market your product is by writing articles. You can write an article with information relating to the product you are marketing. There has to be good information contained in the article and the article cannot be simply a sales page for the product. Then you submit the article to one of the many article submission sites. At the bottom of each article, you are allowed to put a link to your website. This is a great way to get advertising for your website because your article can wind up all over the internet. People can copy your article for their ezines as long as they leave the author resource box intact. You will make money with article marketing, but it may take you longer.

You can also market your product offline. You can create some flyers or order some business cards. Hang them up on bulletin boards around your local area. You may want to create a direct mail campaign and send postcards describing your product to people in your target market. There are several companies that sell mailing lists. You can enter in the demographics of people you want to market to, and the company will provide you with a list of addresses.

ClickBank is an online marketplace that focuses exclusively on digital products. You can set up an account for just under $50. ClickBank offers an affiliate program and once you set up an account and upload your product, any of ClickBank’s affiliates can start marketing your product. For more control over who is allowed to market your product, you may want to start your own affiliate program.

There are many different ways to market your information products. The above are just a couple. If you are looking to start an information product marketing, it’s a good idea to become familiar with all of the marketing methods. Its also a good idea to use more then just one method to get the best results form your marketing efforts. This is how you will make money.
