January 10th, 2010

Pay per click … ezine ads … article writing … email campaigns … e-newsletters … e-coupons … sweepstakes … link campaigns … online yellow pages … message boards … blogs … e-announcements … press releases … joint ventures … affiliates. human directories … electronic directories … auctions … online stores … RSS Feeds … seo, for search engine submissions … email signatures … auto responders … classified ads … banners ads …

Where do you start?

What is the single most important Internet Marketing task?

Start by collecting visitors, customers and client’s email addresses.

The next logical step would be “to learn” email marketing. To increase your sales by 80%, your prospects must receive your message from four to eight times. A single email is RARELY enough. These messages must be timely, consistent and compelling.

For people who DO NOT have a business or a service that they want to market or don’t know what they want to sell online, you will need an online mentor; one who has earned excessive amounts of money online. A mentor that can show you which products to sell and provide inside advise on how to earn big bucks online. (There are a few out there, but most of them won’t tell you everything and why should they?)

For people who want to learn Internet Marketing as a career, becoming a certified Internet marketing specialist can boost your career efforts greatly. You can contact the “e-Marketing Association” for more information.

For Small Business Owners, the backbone of America, you have several options. You can learn to do your own Internet marketing or you can hire an Independent Contractor or an Ad Agency.

Small Business Owners who outsource their Internet marketing are always beholding to the company or individual that provides this service. It is always recommended that Business Owners learn the basics of Internet Marketing before passing the task on.

Free Business Money

January 6th, 2010

In today’s economic struggles many small business owners are struggling to keep their dreams alive. That is of course, keeping their businesses open. One thing that many owners are now doing is trying to find free business money.

A lot of times, you will run across a lot of “bogus” information and have to weed through a lot of junk, especially if you are searching for free business money on the internet. For the past several months I have been on the hunt to locate the best sites that may help others in locating funds.

I am sorry to say, that well, there really isn’t any to be found. You will have to work in some ways to find the money you need. I do apologize but we need to be honest with ourselves and other companies need to be honest with us as well, money doesn’t grow on trees. To get free business money, you will have to work. In most cases it will be to spend many hours on the internet doing the research or signing up with many different sites that may claim they have the funds to help you only to get let down.

The first place to check would be Grants.gov This website will give you in-site as to the different grants are available. But, one must realize, most grants are actually set up for non-profit organizations. So if you are a for-profit business, you will have difficulty. There are a lot of companies offering software “free”, it isn’t, that will list grants for-profit businesses. I honestly have not found one yet, I have been researching for a grant for well over 2 years now, if there is free business money available through a grant, it would be a miracle and a blessing. So if you find one hold on tight to it. You lucked out.

It is said that there are a lot of offers if you are a woman and open a business, frankly, this isn’t true, women are having just as many troubles finding the funds as well. The banks are frightened, most investment firms are also frightened this is mostly because of what has happened on Wall Street with all of the stocks etc. One analyst stated that he felt this would be worse that the “Great Depression”.

There is one website that is called Prosper.com this site is geared to help you find a way to get money as well, but, you can only have a listing for a few weeks. They encourage you to contact friends and relatives to help secure a loan through them or maybe even through someone they may know, prosper will help take care of the rest. Trust me, if you don’t have money, 10-1 they don’t either and this might not work for you.

You could try to work with many of the different companies on the internet that will set you up with a free website and see if you can generate funds that way, but again, it is work, and you will have to work to get the money.

As the saying goes; “You have to spend money to make money.”
